MARLENE MCKINNON was an execptionally gifted witch belonging to the Gryffindor, coming from an old wizarding family thougt to be one of the best amongst the magical folks. She was also very good at keeping secrets.
The last time Marlene McKinnon met up with her fellow colleague Sirius Black didn't went anything like they expected it to. They were young, reckless and full of hormones.
A war raged outside, but as a result of their affair, Marlene fell pregnant with his child. She would only find about it three months later, on early April when she noticed her morning sickness soon turned into cravings accompanied with a swollen belly. At first, she decided not to tell anyone as she did not wanted to be put away from duty. When she changed her mind, it was too late.
The order meetings were becoming rarer and rarer as tensions grew strongers and attacks on members more frequent. Marlene found herself unable to break the news to anyone other than her family seen as the Potters went into hiding and most of her close friends did not had the time to stop by.
She took refuge on her parents house, along with the rest of the family. They were all reunited there for the big announcement she would make.
The McKinnon house is attacked.
Marlene is seriously injured during the fight. At six to seven month pregnant, Marlene is now into early labor. She gives birth to her baby boy all alone, for the first time in her life, hiding, in one dirty but untouched attic. Death Eaters hear the babies cries and Marlene is shot by a killing curse that misses the newborn she was holding by mere inches. The death eaters then take care of this mess and dispose of the baby, leaving him to die on the streets. And so goes the last remaining McKinnon, along with the unknown successor of the Black male line.

&& && &&. Illargia Aegenwulf found herself unable to harm the McKinnon's baby. Struck by a recent miscarriage, the crying newborn had an unseen impact on her. She lied to everyone and took the little boy as if he was really hers.
Her husband, though, was not the most cheerful father at all. But luckily for them, the Dark Lord fell weeks later. As such, his loyal follower, Arrisk Aegenwulf went to Azkaban the same day.
Fearing for her baby's wellbeing, Illargia gave him her maiden's name, Gilbert, not wanting the boy to draw unneeded heed and also not wanting to anger Arrisk even further by giving his name to their unlawful adoptee.

He grows up with their blood daughter, Ruby, both utterfly clueless about his true heritage. He goes to Hogwart a year after his older sister, on the same year as Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood, sorted into GRYFINDOR.
